Conference dinner

Conference dinner will take place in Olympia restaurant on Tuesday at 20:00 (8 pm). The restaurant is located in downtown Prague. We have chosen a Czech cuisine menu which will cost 340 CZK for three course menu with choice of vegetarian menu for the same price. There are no beverages included in this price since we do not know what anyone would prefer. There is a choice of a good beer in this restaurant (obviously) and very good choice of wines (domestic and foreign).

How to get to the restaurant

You need to get close to Dejvicka metro station, where is the tram stop Vitezne Namesti (across the roundabout from Dejvicka metro station). In the map 1 below it is shown how to get from the Villa to the tram stop. You need to take tram number 20 in direction Sidliste Barrandov. On the stop sign you will find the schedule of tram number 20. You want to go to the stop Ujezd, as you can see it should take 17 minutes. This means that you can use 18 CZK ticket. The track of the tram from Vitezne namesti to Ujezd tram stop is shown in the map 2 below.

When on the tram, you usually can see on some kind of display what will be the next stop. But this is not true in every tram, so you need no take care where you will get out. In every tram there is a lady on tape saying what is the stop you are at right now and what the next stop will be. But this is only in Czech and is kind of stupidly confusing, especially for foreigners. It works like this: when the tram stops the lady says first the name of this stop but she continues with "preshtee zasta:vca" (next stop) followed by the name of the next stop. This all happens during stay at the stop, so you can very easily get impression you are on the stop which is actually the next one. So take care of it. You want to get out at the stop Ujezd (procounced as ooyazd). Previous stop will be Hellichova (procounced as Halleckova).

From the tram stop Ujezd just follow the direction of the tram for a couple of meters until you get to the T crossroad. There turn left and after another 200 m you will see on you right restaurant Olympia (big Pilsner Urquel green signs). The way from the Ujezd tram-stop to the restaurant is shown in the map 3 below.
